Allow me to reintroduce myself.
Same name, much bigger scale.
It's been a while since we've posted anything on this blog so before we get started let's do a little recap of what's been going on with us.
Since we last posted we've:
Sold the original Linwell Farms location
Briefly moved to the tiny island of Roatan, Honduras
Moved back to Charlotte, North Carolina
Opened a new business
Sold another business
Found our dream property in the Appalachian mountains of North Carolina
Began the process of converting the roughly 4 open acres of this 100 acre wood into our home, farm, sanctuary, vegetable garden, food forest, winery, greenhouse, and outdoor kitchen. Oh and reintroducing dozens of native plants, shrubs, grasses, brambles, flowers and trees to the land too!
That last part is what brought us back to this blog. We've been involved in many projects these past few years but we are excited to get back to what we love: being in nature and growing our own food. Getting our hands in the dirt, building compost bins and raised terraced garden beds, canning and pickling, fermenting and of course cooking outside over an open flame. We plan on checking in every now and again, we hope you join us as we turn this 100 acre wood into the new Linwell Farms + Falls.
Until then here's a few photos of the NEW Linwell Farms
